Poland to host Iran troupes

The 17th annual International Theatre Festival of Pro Contra in Poland is to host two plays from Iran.  

‘The Requiem’ by Ebrahim Arabnejad and ‘Look at Your Shoes’ by Hamidreza Mollahosseini will go on stage along with troupes from Italy, Russia, Romania, Georgia and Cuba.

‘The Requiem’ was previously nominated for some awards at the 1st Alef Theater Festival.

Iran participants have been selected by the festival’s president Tatiana Malinowska last year when she attended the Alef International Theater Festival in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz.

The main attraction of the event is theater performances exhibited by participants from various parts of the country and the world.

The play event will take place on September 6-8, 2019 in Szczecin city in northwest Poland.
